Department of Business Administration Chair of Mathematics for Business and Economics Research Associate (Postdoc) 80 % The Chair of Mathematics for Business and Economics focuses on the mathematical solution of business problems.

We model and optimize stochastic dynamic systems, in particular via Markov decision processes and approximate dynamic programming.

Our applications are in the field of operations management and revenue management in particular. We teach mathematics and optimization at the Bachelor and Master level.

Your responsibilities Developing, managing and publishing research projects within the field of approximate dynamic programming or revenue management Teaching of one math or optimization class per year Supervision of Bachelor or Master theses Your profile Candidates should have a strong background in Mathematics and a PhD in Operations Research, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics or a related field Solid knowledge of mathematical optimization techniques Good knowledge in at least one higher programming language ( e.

g.
