Your role

As a Service Design Engineer you will be in a Technical Planner role, have the overview of Space, Power and Cooling in our Data Centers and will focus on Data Center Fit-Out Projects for our international Customer Base.

With your technical expertise you will also be responsible for the technical response to customer tenders (RFPs / RFIs).

You are responsible for providing technical advice to the sales team and supporting them with technical expertise during the preparation of the contract and create holistic service solutions (designs) for new and existing customers and ensure that the design meets both, Customer and Interxion requirements.

You will obtain quotations from suppliers, create technical drawings in AutoCAD, check the technical and time feasibility and submit the design to the Project Management (Service Transition) for implementation.

Your Tasks

  • Internal capacity and reservation management (Data Center Space, Power & Cooling)
  • Provide technical service solutions (designs) for new and existing customers, and ensure that customer requirements and Interxion's specifications can be achieved
  • Reply to technical customer tenders (RFI / RFPs) within the required timelines
  • Ensure that the corporate design principles of standardization, power, cooling, and placement are followed and reflected in the designs.
  • Define the costs (OPEX / CAPEX) and / or suitable alternatives and the associated risks
  • Creation of technical drawings in AutoCAD and maintenance of the building plans
  • Act as a key pivot point between internal and external stakeholders to ensure that lead times and resources are feasible and that the design meets all business needs.
  • Your Qualifications :

  • Engineering Degree (FH, HF) or a comparable qualification
  • Specialized technical expertise (datacenter, electrical or mechanical)
  • with 3 5 years working experience

  • Fluency in English and German, both written and oral (C1 level)
  • Your profile

  • Capability to work precisely and follow up on tasks
