Key responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical and scientificleadership for the Metabolism Categoryof Nestle Heath Science (NHSc)
  • Develop and execute clinical portfolio strategiesfor both, innovative product development as well as life cycle management oflaunched brands, in support of the global Metabolismstrategy.
  • Develop and lead clinical developmentplans driven by unmet medical need and value propositions and ensure theirintegration into Evidence Development Plans .
  • Consider development path,intellectual property, scientific basis and pathophysiology, epidemiology, aswell as regulatory and market access environment

  • Integrate diagnostics andpharmaceutical therapy alongside nutrition as key part of the therapy, in orderto aim for novel and holistic standards of care for patients with metabolicconditions.
  • Serve as senior NHSc Metabolism Clinical Expert and representNHSc at major health regulatory agencies, scientific community, payers andother medical decision making committees.
  • Develop and maintain relationships withtop external experts to ensure opportunity maximization of clinical developmentprograms and communications for NHSc Metabolism.
  • Deliver excellence in clinicalpresentations to key stakeholders in academia, regulatory agencies andreimbursement bodies to support establishment of medical value, clinicalutility and credibility of NHSc products
  • Establish strong interaction within NHScR&D teams, especially those in Metabolism and Nutrition research, andactively participate in business development initiatives, such as due diligenceefforts and continuous evolution of the innovation strategy.
  • In close collaboration with ClinicalOperations at NHSc, oversee the execution of clinical trial programs, incl. designand protocol development, study operations, data analysis & interpretationand medical communication, including scientific presentations and publications.
  • Required Profile

  • Medical doctor (MD), ideally with board-certification in Endocrinology (or related metabolic specialty)
  • Minimum 5- 10 years of experience in Clinical Development in either pharmaceutical, device or nutrition-based programs
  • In depth experience with design, conduct, analysis and reporting of randomized clinical trials (RCTs)
  • Track record of relationship building with external partners (incl. scientific community network) and cross-functional internal teams to execute clinical development programs
  • Experience in regulatory interactions with health authorities (e.g. FDA, EMEA, EFSA)
  • Expertise in medical writing (incl. scientific publication track record) and excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Showus that you have the ability to work across functions and bring together andlead a team of external and internal resources to high collaboration andperformance.
