Responsible forleading operations across multiple plants in the EMEA Operations network, withdirect reporting line into VP Operations, Chronic & Acute Renal.

Isaccountable for the plants’ delivery on employee safety, product quality,operational compliance and plant financial metrics.

Establish manufacturingstrategy for plants, including material sourcing, capacity, cost reduction,logistics, and quality improvement.

Establish and drivemanufacturing strategy for solutions plants to insure delivery of manufacturedproducts and inter-plant services that meet safety, quality, cost and on-

timedelivery goals in support of associated business objectives. Assess talent atthe sites and actively coach and hold accountable site leaders to develop andmove talent to support growing business needs and address talent deficienciesswiftly.

Hold leaders accountable for planning, organizing and controlling themanufacturing and support activities at the site to produce quality products ontime and competitively in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Drivemanufacturing standardization and process improvements to achieve networkoptimization, responsible for ongoing cost reduction, global logistics, andimprovement of product quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding plant financial goalsand key operating performance targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Responsiblefor plants’ compliance with all regulatory policies.
  • Responsiblefor recruiting, selecting and motivating site leaders to lead the variousaspects of the operation. Assess, develop and manage top talent to engage andretain team members and meet business objectives.
  • Assess key strengths andskill gaps of the talent pipeline. Lead, motivate and coach direct reports todo the same.

  • Establishoperation mechanism with direct reports related to operational performancemonthly and coach to take proactive actions and take action to address anymisses.
  • Drive necessary communication mechanisms to insure senior leadership isinformed of both leading and lagging performance and plant to address.

  • Interactregularly with senior management on matters concerning the business, portfoliolife cycle management and / or customers.
  • Liaise with operations function leaders as necessary to addressescalated matters and drive for results.
  • Coachdirect reports to create and sustain a culture within the plant to maintain compliancewith Environment, Health & Safety requirements and a zero-harm workplace.
  • Coachdirect reports to develop and own three-year site capital plan and driveexecution to support ongoing business as well as expansion opportunities, ownand inform others of roll-
  • up plan for all sites and drive for results.

  • Coachdirect reports to drive continuous improvement, ongoing improvement of qualityand cost reduction. Drive identification of Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Closealignment to commercial business units to ensure understanding and operationsinput to business strategy and execution Liaise with R&D to create newproduct development plans and ensure adequate support of NPD program to achievetarget launch dates.

  • Qualifications

    Undergraduate degree in Science,Engineering, Supply Chain or related field required. Graduate degree (MBA) preferred.

    10+ years manufacturing managementexperience in a GMP environment (or equivalent). Experience in complex assemblyprocesses (manual and automated assembly).

    Experience with both domestic andinternational manufacturing sites, including new plant start-ups or expansionsrequired.

    Ability to travel.

    Willingness to relocate (relocationwithin region at a minimum)

    Proven track record of interpersonal andleadership skills with ability to interface well withother departments, and lead effectively and efficiently in ateamenvironment.

    Abilitytomanageprogramsacrosstechnical,commercialandoperationalgroups’successful launches of new products, product changes and other growthplans for thebusiness.

    Requiresthe ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance of others in sensitivesituations.

    Proven track record of assessing,developing and managing talent to benefit professional growthand meet businessobjectives.

    Operating knowledge of various functionswithin the plant and lean manufacturing, green orblack belt certificationpreferred.

    Abilityto travel extensively with potential for extendedperiods.

    Experience in regulated medical drugsand devices environments, high volume manufacturing of fluid-based products,plastics manufacturing, biologics / chemical manufacturing processes aplus.

    Demonstrated success performing within alarge, matrixed, global manufacturingorganizationrequired.
