Job Description

We are looking for you as our new Compliance Manager (m/f). In this role, you will be responsible for creating and training compliance policies and procedures as well as monitoring the effectiveness of such compliance trainings in the Straumann Group. In this new position, you will be part of a passionate and high performing Legal Department in Basel, Switzerland and report directly to the Group General Counsel.

YOUR TASKS

  • Provide compliance advice, support and strategic guidance to internal clients at Headquarters and to the Regional Legal teams and Compliance Champions throughout the Group
  • Design and execute Compliance training programs (e-learning tools)
  • Periodically review and monitor compliance policies and procedures group wide and cooperate with the Regional General Counsels for local applicability
  • Proactively identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risks, and develop corrective action plans and activities to address / mitigate such issues
  • Gain in depth knowledge of sales and business practices to become a trusted business partner for the sales forces and other key stakeholders
  • Develop practical and effective compliance tactics that can be implemented quickly

  • Qualifications

  • Law and/or Business Degree
  • At least 5 years of compliance experience in the life sciences/ healthcare industry
  • Familiar with setting-up and monitoring e-learning tools and general IT familiarity
  • Open-minded, performance and results driven personality to achieve objectives and targets
  • Determination and ability to make change happen
  • Excellent communication skills, integrity and commitment
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); working knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
