The Product Manager, Motion Management be an articulate, self-motivated individual with a proven ability to define clinical motion management capabilities that will be sold into the radiotherapy marketplace.

You will have the ability to understand customer needs and simply communicate these needs into technical language to a wide audience, in addition to clear communication skills in verbal conversations, public presentations and written reports.

In addition, you will foster strong customer relationships, master highly technical products, and balance the needs of end users with those of internal Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Accounting, Regulatory and Legal departments.

The successful candidate for this position will work closely with Research Collaborations and other Product Management groups on new product concepts that will solve the complex motion problems seen in Radiotherapy.

In this role, you will : Implement the product development strategy as defined in collaboration with management; follow all PLC, portfolio and RA / QA procedures.

Work in a cross-functional manner with other Varian business units and departments to successfully achieve product development and business goals.

Work closely with Engineering in writing all up front requirements. Develop and recommend strategies for technical solutions based on the analysis of the customer's business needs and objectives, and prioritize product development (through customers, field, trends, etc.

Develop and oversee product positioning and differentiation in the marketplace. Interface with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing products while supporting new product introduction activities.

Have responsibility for driving product performance to meet market needs. Coordinate product launch activities and manage product strategy.

Have familiarity with FDA guidelines and requirements related to product development and introduction is beneficial. What you will have : Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 6 years of related experience Excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with multiple functional areas within a company, the medical community and customers.

Proven ability to successfully address complex technical problems alone with limited access to support infrastructure (with both internal and external customers) Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision Proven track record of solving difficult problems Strong analytic skills Experience in the medical device industry Willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international What will set you apart : Physics or Engineering degree Clinical knowledge related to Radiotherapy Proven product management experience Experience with Varian Oncology Systems products You thrive in an international work environment and in cultivating your contacts with partners in Europe and overseas.

Many Varian clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites.

Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of VMS employment in this position.

These requirements vary by client and may include but are not limited to : Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN), Criminal background checks, Drug screens, Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus), Annual TB testing, Healthcare trainings.

Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
