The Casino Inspector supervises the activities of the Casino gaming tables such as, but not limited to, Blackjack, Roulette, Ultimate Texas Holdem,Three Card Poker and related services.


  • In accordance with MSC values, he / she constantly interact with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner, including physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees when in crew areas and / or in presence of guests.
  • Monitors Casino floor operations by observing casino staff. With regard to the operation of casino games, ensures guests receive prompt and courteous service and that procedures compliance is maintained.
  • Identifies rule violations, or notes potential security issues. Observes pace and accuracy of dealing procedures, ensuring that all casino games proceed smoothly and properly according to Casino dept. Operation policies
  • Accurately records individual playeractions using the Casino Management system. Maintains a proactive approach to prevent or solve problems and informs casino management when required.
  • Greets guests, extends courtesy and provides helpful information, explaining and clarifying the house rules to guests requesting information.
  • Observes and calculates transactions to verify dealer pay-outs. Resolves disputes regarding wagers, pay-outs, gaming procedures and casino policies.
  • Opens or closes tables according to business demand.
  • Trains and monitors Casino dept. employees according to MSC standards. Provides on-the-job training to strengthen current performance and preparation for possible career progression.
  • Distributes necessary gaming equipment at the beginning of each shift; verifies drop boxes are locked onto tables.
  • Prepares accurate reports in a timely manner according to Casino dept. Operation Policies.
  • QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

    Internal experience as Casino Inspector Trainee with consistent high-performance ratings or external experience as a Casino Inspector / Supervisor in a shore-based casino or cruise line competitors.

    Abilityto take decisions based on sound judgment regarding gaming rules andregulations.

    Ability to observe and recognize pay-outs accuracy, dealer behaviour and related activities.

    Effectively use customer service skills by exercising authority and discretion to satisfy guests in a consistent manner and complying with MSC standards.

    Ability to supervise an international team of Dealers in a positive and productive manner by motivating,developing and managing employees.

    Ability to manage the disciplinary action process through coaching and counselling for improving the overall performance.

    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods oftime.

    Fluent in English; any additional languages are a welcome and German is a plus.


    Passport with at least 12 months of residual validity
