Tasks :

As Global BU Health Safety and Environment Manager you will be responsible to Implement Group-wide performance, improvement programs and practices to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment throughout the assigned global Business Unit / Product Group.

You will coach, support and provide advice to leadership and line managers on Health, Safety and Environment matters and report on the performances of the respective organization along ABB's value chain.

You will ensure the respective BU operates in alignment with ABB HSE standards. In addition, you will

  • Approve and coordinate audit programs on behalf of the Business Unit.
  • Contributes to effective risk management of HSE related issues by providing specialist knowledge and advice on key business decisions to Business leaders.
  • Engage external (e.g. customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders in order to raise awareness and gain commitment on ABB's HSE performance
  • Ensure that function is appropriately organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
  • Guide, motivate and develop direct / indirect subordinates within HR policies and function requirements
  • Be a member of the Division HSE leadership team to assure an excellent culture as well as a strong collaboration with your peers and deliver as per budget.
  • Requirements :

    We are looking for someone with minimum of 10+ years’ experience in HSE topics from an international company with a global range in responsibility.

    Preferably you have an IOSH certificate and are truly passionate about the topic. Furthermore the job requires proven skills in managing people from a distance together with the ability to engage people and make change happen.

    We believe that you are an excellent communicator with the drive to make things moving. Since you are operating on a global market fluent in English speaking and writing is mandatory.

    Any other languages will be considered an advantage. The job requires international travels up to 20%
