Job Description

Novartis is expanding its Commercial IT Marketing team to further strengthen its expertise in the Marketing Innovation area and deliver impactful Marketing IT strategies and solutions across our product portfolio.

Pharma Industry is unique in many ways when it comes to Marketing Processes. It is a heavily regulated industry and Marketing activities need to comply with the local regulation and industry practices, which makes an exciting challenge to use the Digital channels that are leveraged freely by other Industries.

On the other hand, Pharma still relies heavily on personal channels, with Marketing messages delivered face-to-face through the Sales Representatives and other Field Force, which allows for unique Marketing channels leveraging this massive resource on the field.

Novartis has also embarked on a transformation journey on how we can better leverage the power of Digital leveraging Data and Advanced Analytics to have a better impact in our patients As a key member of the Commercial IT Marketing team, you will be responsible to partner with the Business Teams responsible for innovation in Novartis, managing a team of Product Owners and Program Managers to co-

design and deliver new products in the Innovation space

You will be responsible but not limited to :

  • Partner with Business teams responsible for Innovation initiatives in Basel
  • Envision a holistic product user experience from a process perspective, to analyze the different aspects of value creation
  • Derive optimization areas where value creation can be improved or made more efficient
  • Own and drive Experience Design efforts and methodologies across all areas of IT
  • Act as center of excellence for Design Thinking
  • Responsible for end-to-end customer experience journey
  • Inspire innovative approaches to design, using creative facilitation techniques in collaborative co-creation workshop settings
  • Continually seek new opportunities to improve customer experience and drive value
  • Work with integration managers across IT
  • Work with business stakeholders both at global level as well as local for co-creation and innovation
  • Manage external service design partners
  • Define best practices and standards for experience design
  • Partner closely with the Service Delivery Leads in the region
  • Measure and analyze key emotional indicators, usability, and key performance indicators to identify areas for further design improvement
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Design scope
  • Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (desirable) or third level qualification Scrum certification desirable
  • Business fluent in English (written and spoken
  • Businesses Impact on Organization : All Divisions, Functions
  • 15 years of business and / or IT Service Delivery experience, preferably in Pharma commercial or marketing space.

  • Ability to work in Matrix environment orchestrating delivery from different teams
