We are currently seeking an Medical Operations Manager for our European Medical team. The successful candidate will mainly focus on supporting the Therapeutic Area (TA) Heads and European Medical Leads in planning, project management, operations activities and implementing strategy, coordinating alignment with global processes and operations and establishing and coordinating best practice within and between TAs.
Furthermore the Medical Operations Manager will support specific projects as required, track metrics and insights, ensure smooth and timely internal communication and help resolving issues.
Additional responsibilities include :
Operational Management Support
Partner with TA Heads, EU Medical Leads and Engagement Directors to drive and manage development of key EU cross-functional deliverables (e .
g . annual planning process alignment, Medical launch readiness activities)
Support TA goal setting and tracking in alignment with European Medical Directors goals
Support cross-TA communication, alignment and decision making
Drive input into annual cross-functional planning process with EU Medical Leads aligned with new Global processes
Contribute to team effectiveness, alignment and capabilities; facilitate chartering, establishing metrics for tracking performance and success / value of deliverables
Identifying, escalating and facilitating resolution of budget gaps
Advancing cross-functional alignment and bi-directional communication within and between TAs and between affiliates
Support best practice in gathering and sharing regional Medical insights (e.g. ALIGN, Ad boards, surveys) in collaboration with TA Heads and Medical Engagement Directors
Contribute to EU Medical bi-directional communication initiatives and best practice sharing activities to elevate profile of EU Medical TAs and affiliate Medical teams (e.
g. EU Medical sharepoint site, virtual magazine)
Serve as single point of contact for TA Medical operations requirements and activities
Coordinating onboarding of new EU Medical team members (EU Hub and affiliates e.g. supporting with RBC assignment as required and ALIGN training as needed)
Develop agendas for and facilitate organization and running of TA meetings, EKEG preparation meetings, collegia
Document issues, decisions & action items at meetings
Contribute to team effectiveness
Your profile :
Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positions
You typically have 3-5 years of experience in Industry
Experience in pharma / biotech business preferred
Experience with Medical Affairs business processes preferred
Experience in working with Scientific Experts and Scientific Societies preferred
Working with cross-functional teams, senior / regional management teams is not knew to you
You have gathered experience in international workstreams and managing complex projects
Fluency in English
