Main duties

The Refurbishment and Supply Chain Manager ensures Selecta countries have access to state-of-the-art refurbished equipment and continuous supply with minimized inventory impact.

With his work he is supporting the asset utilization strategy and maximizes the efficiency of the Selecta supply chain. With his expertise he transforms the Selecta owned refurbishment centres into an effectively managed and scalable production centre or outsources the production.

The Refurbishment and Supply Chain Manager defines together with the local roles and the portfolio and lifecycle manager efficient refurbishment and retrofit concepts for the existing machine park including their execution.

In this role a constant alignment with the local teams, group functions and suppliers are key to success.


  • Asses as is situation in in-house refurbishment centres
  • Ensure optimum capacity per country and utilisation of Selecta owned refurbishment centres or outsource the production
  • Ensure regular testing and quality management procedures in place
  • Build strong partnerships with our external refurbishment centres
  • Establish a design to cost culture and programs delivering market demand at effective cost
  • Industrialize production and establish quality approach
  • Ensure compliance of production and production output incl. quality control
  • Supply Chain

  • Establishing forecast routines in country organizations incl. order planning
  • Develop Supply Chain model for machines, spare parts and refurbishments with focus on minimizing inventory and speeding up time to market
  • Review and adjust inventory management of country organisations
  • Challenge approach to safety stocks and minimum order quantities
  • Establish transparent used machine sales process to 2nd hand / used machine buyers
  • Perform supplier reviews together with other group and local roles
  • Monitor and ensure new buy compliance as well as refurbishment ratio
  • Professional competence

  • Experienced Business engineer with manufacturing background
  • At least 3 to 5 years of manufacturing background in a vending coffee machine or similar environment
  • Able to evaluate production environment and define optimization action plans
  • Able to define together with market team’s quality requirements and production standards
  • Experience in having successfully implemented and executed lean six-sigma projects (ideally a green belt or better)
  • Deep Knowledge of supply chain expertise to balance capacity and demand
  • Able to understand impact of spare parts and unused machinery on net working capital and can effectively manage defined targets
  • Supply Chain expertise
  • Refurbishment experience is an asset
  • Profile

  • Fluent in English (written and oral), Italian, Spanish or any other European language is an asset
  • Structured and well organised working method
  • Profound communication skills and multicultural competencies
