As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible to install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment on various Medtronic medical equipment.
You will perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and / or field locations.
A day in a life
Main responsibilities will include :
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time
Analyze and evaluate products and related performance
Install, upgrade and remove products ensuring coordinative engineering field change
Maintain effective customer communications and relations
May provide onsite training of customer support personnel
Provide technical advice to customers, sales personnel, and healthcare professionals responding to product related questions, issues and problems
Provide sales personnel with technical data necessary for the demonstration of products
Act as a liaison between sales personnel and customers on technical issues
May make technical presentations at sales meetings and customer locations
Ability to navigate software-controlled systems
Provide technical support over the phone or via remote technology
Must have :
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience at the same position
Mechatronics knowledge, including Electro-Mechanical Systems, Control Electronics, Digital Control Systems, etc.
Understanding of a complex system and the ability to manage and solve problems
Knowledge of large capital systems ideally within the Medical environment
Able to operate independently, with excellent problem-solving skills
Fluent in spoken German and English
Strong customer facing communication skills with a customer focused mindset
Enthusiastic and fast learner for both new technologies and new environments
Creative thinking with owner state of mind
Commitment to success and a drive to achieve goals
Organized and structured way of working with good planning skills
Willingness to work flexible hours
Nice to Have :
French, Italian language skills
Passionate and engaged team player
