PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Working closely with the senior colleague of the Purchasing Team, the Purchasing Support is responsible for buying the best quality equipment, goods and services at the most competitive timing and prices to enable a company or organization to operate.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchase Order (PO) scheduling and issuing for samples (SMS) and bulk production
Follow-up SMS and Bulk POs
Work closely with the various business areas : Product development, Raw material / Fabric Dept., Quality control and Logistics in order to ensure smooth communication and follow-up
MAIN ACTIVITIES : 1. SAMPLES (SMS)

PO scheduling according to Division Calendar
PO issuing based on Product Development / Sourcing Depts. instruction
2. BULK PRODUCTION
Development of Time&Action plan based on information provided by Sourcing and Product Depts.
Providing Suppliers with key figures for reservation of either production or fabric before Purchasing Order issuing
Purchasing Orders issuing based on the result of the previous negotiation with the final suppliers concerning delivery and quantity
Purchase orders follow-up, liaising with both Suppliers as well as Logistic Dept.
Shipments approval in terms of quantity and agreed delivery (spostato da OTHER a QUI)
Invoice approval based on official seasonal Pricelist,
Support to Logistic Dept. for any shipping doc that may be necessary
Data system maintenance and updating
Communication to Customer Service and Sales Depts. in case of critical delays / shortage
High School Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business Administration or a related field
At least 2 years’ experience in similar role and field
Well organized, self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Excellent analytical and communications skills
Capability to work under strict, short deadlines
Familiarity with vendor management and negotiation
Fluent written and spoken English is required for this role. Any further language will be considered as a plus.
MS Office package (Excel knowledge is mandatory).
Knowledge of AS400 and Business intelligence instruments is appreciated
